Experienced Senior Advisor former CEO of Enagás actively led the internationalization process since 2011 taking successfully Enagás’ leadership in energy infrastructures, both to America and to Europe. In a context of energy transition, drove initiatives to promote the use of hydrogen and other renewable gases, to move towards decarbonisation and boosting innovation. Led the development of Enagás Emprende. Responsable for the digitalisation process to engage Enagás as one of the most efficient operators in Europe. 

Trustee of the Transforma España Foundation, member of the Rey Juan Carlos University council, Executive Vice chairman of Club de la Excelencia and Trustee of Thyssen-Bornemisza Foundation. 

Holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the School of Engineering (ICAI) at the Pontifical University of Comillas and completed the Global CEO Programme and the Advanced Management Programme, both at the IESE Business School, as well as the Executive Program, held at Singularity University, and the "AVIRA" Program, held at INSEAD. Served as a Member of the European Parliament between 2002 and 2004. Member of the Board of Directors of the Basque Energy Board (EVE). 

Wrote two books: Viaje interior por África (Inner Journey through Africa), published in 2000, and Cultura emprendedora y la Unión Europea (Entrepreneurial Culture and the European Union), published in 2003.
