Former Chief Executive Officer of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and Environmental Services (Sep 2012 - Oct 2018). Based in Dubai, UAE, also served as Abdul Latif Jameel’s Group Special Projects Officer overseeing diversification and new investments. Responsible for driving the growth of Abdul Latif Jameel’s international energy business, leading its strategy to strengthen its position as an independent power producer (IPP), in the renewable energy sector which is now the largest GCC-based solar PV developer and one of the leading solar PV developers in the world.

Led the creation of Almar Water Solutions, Abdul Latif Jameel’s water solutions company focused on desalination and water treatment projects. Almar, as the leading organizer of an international consortium, won a tender in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a 450,000 m3/day desalination plant.

More than 30 years of high-level corporate management and business development experience, delivering international best practices and standards of corporate governance. Former President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at SolFocus, a solar technology developer and manufacturer of solar energy systems.

Held important leadership positions across several telecommunications and technology companies, including British Telecom as President of BT Europe and CEO of Jazztel Group Plc. Responsible for creating a new business, NCR Networking Solutions, consolidating all such business from the different business units across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, receiving the Corporate Outstanding Performance Award.

Presently Advisor to large corporations, investment funds and family offices.

A Spanish National, holds an MBA from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Southern California, having served on multiple boards of directors and participated in several corporate governance and speaker and round-table participant in industry events in the Middle East, Europe, and The Americas.
