Tiago has over 30 years of experience in the Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Industrial and Real Estate sectors, having held C-level positions in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.

Tiago started his career in 1994 at Banco Finantia where he joined the Investment Banking division and was involved in multiple M&A and Capital Markets transactions, with a special focus in Northern Portugal. 

In 2002, having already worked in Brazil for Minsait, the management consulting arm of Indra Group, Tiago joined Somelos, his family business, and one of the largest textile groups in Portugal and a world leader of premium shirting fabrics, with 1.200 workers and operations in Portugal, USA, China/HK and Brazil, where he acted as Executive Board Member and directly supervised  the international expansion and various buy-side and sell-side domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. 

For the past 8 years, Tiago has worked as managing partner of Magnet Capital Advisory, a Real Estate and M&A advisory boutique assisting domestic and international institutional investors with a focus on Mid-Sized Caps and Mid-to-Large Real Estate deals in the Hospitality, Logistics, Managed Living, Residential, Retail and Office asset classes across Core, Core+ and Value Add strategies.

Education/Qualifications: Tiago holds a degree in Business Administration & Economics from Richmond University, an MBA from IESE Business School and a Certificate in Corporate Strategy from Harvard Business School.
